And Now Private Galleries on the Lord of Chat

Come back and see what has changed!

In order to make the site more accessible and easier to use, a number of changes have been made:

1 - Private Galleries have been added. In addition to the 'Members of Lord of Chat' gallery for general pictures, members now have access to two private galleries: Friends of Chat and Private Access Friends.

2 - A better system of defining relationships with other members have been deployed. You now have the option of adding a member as either a Friend of Chat or a Private Access Friend.

3 - The Certified Couple member role will be eventually eliminated.

4 - Rewards of Chat have been removed.

5 - The information on the page has been reorganized.

The new member relationship system and the personal galleries work together to allow you to decide who gets to see your images. All images posted to the Members of Lord of Chat gallery are viewable by all registered members of the site. This is acceptable to most members, but does prevent some members from posting images because they are open to the general membership.

From now on, if you add a member to your Friends of Chat list, they will also be able to view images that you post to your Friends of Chat gallery. To stop a member from seeing these images, you just need to remove them from your Friends of Chat list. It's that simple.

In addtion to this, there is a relationship called Private Access Friend. This is a category of Friend of Chat that allows you to give members access to more private or intimate images as you get to know them. Private Access Friends can also see images in your Friends of Chat gallery, since they are a Friend of Chat with more priveledges.

If you add images to your Friend of Chat gallery, but you have not invited any members to become one of your Friends of Chat, these images are not visible to any members of the site except yourself. What this allows you to do is post images to your Friends of Chat and Private Access gallery, and then only allow members to access these images if and when you want to, and deny access just as quickly. It allows you to give members you choose a better look privately, without the need to exchange email accounts or other information.

Finally, the layout of the site has been improved. The left sidebar provides access to the main menu and other links to pages that allow you to take action: Invite a friend, add a relationship, upload images, etc. The central QUICKLINKS menu gives you direct access to your own personal information. The right sidebar allows you to see what other members are doing or saying. This area also gives you access to Friend of Chat and Private Access images that have been shared with you.

As always, the tabs along the top take you into the main areas of the site to view public images, comments and profiles.

On a final note, the old Friends of Chat buddy system and the new Friends of Chat relationship system are not related. You will need to create new relationships with your existing friends. This can be done easily by visiting their profile and click on the 'Create Relationship' link on the left sidebar that appears. The listing of your Friends of Chat under the old system will remain in your profile for a few more weeks to allow you to transition.

As always, thanks for being members, and I hope to see you all online soon.
